The impact of this funding has been to improve the overall quality of PE teaching throughout the school and develop teacher confidence. Last year we purchased the Real PE scheme of work which has been instrumental in improving PE provision within the school. This also included high quality training for the PE co-ordinator in addition to training for all teachers of PE. The resources are very high quality and are both  imaginative and interesting. This engages the children so that they enjoy their lessons. This promotes and encourages a positive attitude towards PE. This school year this training has continued particularly for new staff who missed the initial training.

Membership of the Sports Partnership has supported a range of sports delivery in school and quality training for teachers in the school. Membership of the partnership has also provided a range of access to competitions and festivals with other schools. Participation in sport related competitions increased with the school taking part in football, cricket, cheerleading, dance, netball and golf. Most classes in the school have benefited in some way during the year through this partnership.

Continued investment in both the Real PE resources and the Sports Partnership ensures that the improvements we make are sustainable.

Investment in additional supervision during the mid-day break and the purchase of equipment has encouraged more active play during the mid-day break.
