Welcome to Year 5!
Sophie Miah Judith Gibson Debbie Arnold
Year 5 is an exciting and challenging year for the children. Now the children are in Upper Key Stage 2, they will be able to take on extra responsibilities within the school and be good role models to the younger children.
Our classroom encourages both collaboration and independent learning. We have lots of things in our classroom that help us to learn, including working walls, drawers full of learning aids and vocabulary mats which we use to expand our vocabulary. We also have lots of exciting opportunities this year. In Year 5, this year we will be learning how to play the guitar. In the Summer Term, children are invited to go on a week's residential trip with the Year 6 children to Condover Hall.
We value the efforts all parents give towards the development of their children. Each term, Year 5 enjoy sharing the work we have been doing in a 'Parent Share' activity. Also, don't forget to keep checking the Year 5 Blog to see what has been happening in Year 5 and to leave comments. The children love seeing that their hard work has been appreciated online!
